The Pediatric SAFE Protocol recommends that the Multidisciplinary team members address prevention of child sexual abuse.  There are a wide range of educational activities that may help the MDT reach a goal of incorporating child abuse prevention.  These activities may include educating the community on reporting sexual abuse, mandatory reporting training for professionals, and other prevention efforts.   

 

Overview of Trauma-Focused, evidence-based assessment tools from the Office of Justice Programs, and Office for Victims of Crime Training and Technical Assistance Center.

 

Children's Advocacy Centers Safety Assessment. This workshop will provide CAC staff members with guidelines to implement effective measures and response plans to ensure safety of staff and the children. Specifically, how to conduct a workplace violence risk assessment, creating procedures for responding to, reporting and investigating violence. 

 

National Child Traumatic Stress Network Learning Center offers a variety of science based information regarding trauma issues for children, for clinical providers and other child serving systems.
